Outsmart the System LLC runs jaypbhakta.com. We want this site to work for people using a screen reader, a keyboard on its own, voice control, larger text, or a browser zoomed in to 400 percent. This page states the standard we build to, what we have actually measured, what we know is still wrong, and how to reach us.

The Standard We Build To

Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, on every page of this site.

That is a target, not a certificate. No third party has audited this site against WCAG, and we do not claim conformance. What we can give you instead is the list below: what we measure, and what we have not fixed yet.

What Is True Today

Each item here was measured on the pages of this site, not estimated, and it is re-measured when a page changes.

• The site reflows at 320 pixels wide. WCAG 2.2 measures reflow at 320 CSS pixels, which is a small phone or a 1280 pixel desktop zoomed to 400 percent. Every page of this site was measured at that width in a real browser at that device size, and none of them scrolls sideways. This was a genuine failure earlier: three pages needed more room than the screen had, and the measurement tool was not looking at 320 at all. Both were fixed.
• Reduced motion is honored. If your operating system is set to reduce motion, this site does not animate the page scroll when you follow an in-page link. Every page that turns on smooth scrolling also carries the rule that switches it back off for you.
• Every page has one main region, one page heading, and a declared language. That is what lets a screen reader skip the header, announce the page, and pronounce it correctly.
• Every video file we host carries captions. Five videos, five caption tracks. None of them starts on its own, and none of them loads until you press play. One embedded YouTube video, the founder introduction on the programs page, is not hosted by us; see the list below.
• These are checked automatically, not by memory. The repository this site is built from runs a set of named checks before a change ships. Four of them protect the items above: one refuses a page that turns on smooth scrolling without the reduced-motion rule, one requires exactly one main region, one page heading and a language on every page, one requires every video to carry a poster and to load nothing until you ask for it, and one requires that a link label in the footer always means the same destination.

What We Know Is Still Wrong

These are real, open, and ours. We are listing them because a statement that claims no problems is not worth reading.

• Form errors are silent for screen readers. When a form on this site rejects what you typed, the message appears on screen but is not announced, and focus does not move to it. If you cannot see the screen, a failed submit is silence. That is true of thirteen error messages across ten pages, including the intake forms and the checkout detail forms on the paid programs. It is the most serious item on this page and it is the one we are working on.
• Thirteen pages have no skip link. On those pages a keyboard user cannot jump past the header straight to the content, and the legal pages and this one are among them. Their headers are short, which limits what it costs you, but it is still a gap.
• One embedded video is not ours to check. The founder introduction on the programs page is a YouTube embed. We have not verified its caption track, and its player is YouTube's, not ours, so its keyboard and screen-reader behaviour is theirs too. The five videos we host ourselves all carry captions.
• Some pages have not been tested with assistive technology at all. Our measurements are made with an automated browser and automated checks. Automated checks catch a minority of accessibility problems. We have not sat down with a screen reader and walked the whole site, and until we have, we cannot tell you that a page works, only that it passes what we test.
• Some contrast is unverified rather than verified. Our contrast measurement reads text on solid backgrounds. Where text sits on a photograph or a gradient, the tool reports it as unknown and moves on, so those cases are not confirmed either way.

Parts of This Site We Did Not Build

Some things on these pages come from other companies and run their own code: the chat widget, the embedded video player, and the checkout pages our payment processor hosts. We chose to use them, so the experience is still our responsibility, but we cannot change how they are built. If one of them blocks you, tell us and we will complete the same task with you another way, by email or by phone.

This statement covers jaypbhakta.com only. Other sites linked from here, including financialbrain.ai, publish their own policies.

How We Test

We measure with a real browser driven at real device sizes, at 320, 390, 768, 1024 and 1440 pixels wide, rather than by resizing a desktop window, because only the first of those applies the rules a phone actually uses. We measure whether a page scrolls sideways, we measure text contrast, and we run the automated checks described above before a change ships. We record what was checked and what was not.

If any part of this site keeps you from doing what you came to do, email us. It helps if you can say which page, what you were trying to do, and what you use to browse, but send it either way. A report with none of that is still better than no report.

We read every one, we will reply, and if the fix is going to take a while we will tell you how to get the same thing done in the meantime.
