Teen Side Hustle Launch · $97

Help your teen build something real — from idea to first customer.

A guided path for teens 13 to 18: a personalized roadmap, a step-by-step Resource Kit, and a 1:1 Launch Session with Jay to help your teen make a real offer to a real person. Built for parents who want initiative, ownership, and money skills — not another lecture about motivation.

This isn’t about forcing your teen to become an entrepreneur. It’s about the ownership, judgment, courage, and money skills that building something real teaches — whether they ever run a business or not.

What your teen gets

A roadmap, a real toolkit, and time with Jay.

Three parts, in order. The first two get your teen moving on their own. The last one is where it becomes a launch.

Step 1 · Roadmap

A personalized System Map

Your teen answers a short set of questions and gets a roadmap tuned to who they actually are — their interests, their time, their starting point.

Your teen’s System Map is a one-page roadmap: the best first idea to test, who to ask, what to charge, and what to do this week.

Step 2 · Toolkit

The Resource Kit

A 5-lesson mini-course, a fill-in Launch Playbook, and the real templates a first-timer needs: a one-page business plan, a partner agreement, first-customer scripts, and a pricing worksheet. Built for a teen to use, not just read.

Step 3 · The core

1:1 Launch Session with Jay

A live session where Jay helps your teen turn the roadmap into a real first move: the idea to start, the first customer to reach, and the action to take this week. They leave with a written next step, not a pep talk.

By the end, your teen has
  • One real offer they can explain in a sentence
  • A first customer approached (a real ask, made)
  • A first dollar earned — or a clear reason to pivot
  • A plan they built and understand themselves
Real-world skill

Making a real offer teaches more than a worksheet ever could: courage, pricing, follow-through, and hearing a no without quitting.

Parent-safe

This is parent-supported entrepreneurship education. You approve the project, the safety boundaries, and how money is handled.

Jay-guided

The Launch Session turns the plan into one clear action your teen can take this week.

I spent 20 years building businesses and was financially illiterate for most of my career. The skills that actually mattered, I learned by starting things and getting them wrong. This is the on-ramp I wish I’d had at 15.Jay Bhakta

Inside the kit

What your teen actually opens.

This isn’t a vague course. Your teen gets a practical kit they can use the same day.

System Map

The first idea worth testing

A one-page roadmap: what to offer, who to ask, what to charge, and what to do this week.

Script

First-customer ask

Word-for-word lines your teen can use to make the first real ask, without it feeling awkward.

A simple worksheet to choose a starting price and actually understand the money.

Playbook

The Launch Playbook

A fill-in workbook your teen completes as they build: idea, validation, first offer, first customer, first dollar.

How it works

From “what if” to a first customer.

  1. 01You start the launch ($97).One payment. No subscription, no upsell required to use everything inside.
  2. 02Your teen builds their roadmap. They answer a short intake and get their personalized System Map — the first idea worth testing and why it fits them.
  3. 03You both get the Resource Kit.The mini-course, the Launch Playbook, and the templates. Your teen works through it at their own pace; you can follow along.
  4. 04Your teen books the 1:1 with Jay.The Launch Session turns the plan into a first real move — and gives them one concrete action to take that week.

After that, some families are invited into a deeper entrepreneurship mastermind. That’s offered only when it fits — never required, and never part of the $97.

Fit

Who this is for — and who it isn’t.

This is for you if
  • You have a teen roughly 13–18 (or 10–12 with your support) and you’d rather they learn judgment and initiative by building something than by hearing about it.
  • Your teen is curious enough to try one real project, even a small one.
  • You want a first move and a real skill set, not a lecture or a grade.
  • You’re fine with the outcome being uncertain — because that’s where the learning is.
This isn’t for you if
  • ×You want a get-rich-quick program or a promise your teen will make a certain amount.
  • ×You want a passive course to hand off with no involvement from your teen.
  • ×You’re looking for investment, financial, or tax advice.
  • ×Your teen has zero interest and this is entirely your idea. Start with the free check first.

Questions

Straight answers.

What age is this for?

13 to 18 is the primary fit. Younger teens (10 to 12) do great as an early-builder track with a parent working alongside them. The Launch Session is with your teen (you’re welcome to sit in).

What if my teen has no idea yet?

That’s the common starting point, and it’s fine. The roadmap and the first mini-course lesson are built to find an idea that fits your teen — based on what they’re into, what they’re good at, and the time they have. Most teens leave with a first idea to test, not a blank page.

What exactly is the Launch Session?

A live 1:1 with Jay, about 30 minutes over video. Your teen brings their roadmap; Jay helps them pick the idea worth starting, name the first customer to approach, and set the one action to take that week. They leave with a written next step, not a pep talk.

Is this a real business, or just a lesson?

The goal is a real first move — a real offer, made to a real person, for real money. It might stay a small side hustle, it might grow, or it might teach your teen that this particular idea isn’t it. All three are wins. The skills (ownership, judgment, handling a no) carry into anything they do next.

What’s the time commitment?

The mini-course is five short lessons your teen can move through in an afternoon or spread over a couple of weeks. The Launch Playbook is done as they build. The Launch Session is about 30 minutes. There’s no schedule to keep up with — it moves at your teen’s pace.

Do I need to supervise this?

Yes. This is a parent-supported teen education experience. You are responsible for approving the project, safety boundaries, transportation, online communication, local rules or permits, and how money is handled. The program teaches entrepreneurship skills; it doesn’t replace your judgment as the parent.

What’s your refund policy?

Try the kit and book the Launch Session. If you feel it wasn’t worth the $97, email jay@outsmartthesystem.org within 14 days of purchase and I’ll refund you. Not sure yet? Start with the free Builder Gap Check — it costs nothing.

Is this financial or investment advice?

No. Teen Side Hustle Launch is entrepreneurship education and coaching — how to find an idea, make an offer, get a first customer, and handle the money a small project brings in. It is not financial, investment, or tax advice.
